Building a Brand from The Ground Up

The company wanted to grow its reach through social media. To start, we created accounts for them on Twitter and Facebook, and we began by promoting the brand name and contacting bloggers and influencers.
As they are a shoe retailer, finding influencers with relevant content was relatively easy.
Introducing your brand through bloggers and influencers is a great way to increase your reach. While it doesn’t necessarily mean sales, it builds familiarity with the brand name—our branding advice.

Once again, being shoes, getting our images helped as we could take photos of the products ourselves. Seeing the products and having them across their Social Media helps encourage clients to buy them.
Alongside original images, we posted relative, shareable content to get their name out there. With Facebook’s new features, we could also direct clients straight to the product in the photo with their ‘shopping’ feature.
Once the brand began to get noticed more, we started running a competition every Friday, like Freebie Friday. This involved encouraging people to retweet, share, or like our posts on Social Media, and a winner would be picked from each platform.
The results
This was a great way to encourage interaction, build followers, and expand our reach. After only three weeks, our latest competition received 1000 retweets on Twitter. Using popular hashtags such as #FreebieFriday helped to recognise the competition.
Since creating the accounts three weeks ago, we have gained almost 900 likes on the Facebook page and 1,900 organic followers on Twitter.
