Our favourite Valentine’s Campaigns With Valentine’s Day now over we thought we’d take a look at some of our favourite campaigns. Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to market your company and get fun with it because it’s such a widely celebrated event in retail you can really expand your brand reach. And basically the more fun, the better. Burger King – Valentine’s Day Cup Burger King had the idea to bring out the ultimate product on Valentine’s Day and that was the ‘Valentine’s Cup,’ a fast-food drinks cup featuring two straw holes, one for you and your partner, remind you of anything? Lady and the Tramp?
Debenhams – Drive Thru It’s rare to go out on Valentine’s Day and not see the last-minute forgetful shoppers. Well, Debenhams introduced a fun and different concept of a ‘Drive Thru’ collection service at the Trafford Centre in Manchester, to help those strapped for time on Valentine’s Day.
Peperami – #PorcByPeperami Up there with one of our favourites, Peperami launched its own fragrance this Valentine’s, called Porc, but it wasn’t available to everyone. To get your hands on a bottle @Peperami were asking for your sexiest sausage impression on Twitter.
Snickers – You’re Forgetful When You’re Hungry The popular chocolate brand known for its punchline of ‘You’re not yourself when you’re hungry,’ launched a Valentine’s edition with several billboards around London reminding forgetful passersby to pick up Valentine’s Day cards. Each of the billboards had replaceable cards which could be peeled off and given to your Valentine.
Starbucks – Share a Cup with your Loved One Quite possibly our favourite, Starbucks introduced a limited edition ‘Molten Hot Chocolate’ from the 10th – 14th of February. But it didn’t stop there on, Valentine’s Day if you bought one they gave you one free to share with your loved one!
We also participated in our own Valentine’s Campaigns with some of our clients, Love Pleasure and The Gallery at Upchurch. Love Pleasure – Punny Memes Leading up to Valentine’s Day we introduced the ‘Perfect Valentines Package’ competition on Twitter encouraging people to share the tweet and follow their page, increasing brand awareness. On Valentine’s Day itself we marketed using silly puns as a fun way to get people to the page and liking content on social media.
The Gallery at Upchurch – Love Story Competition At the Gallery, they introduced a competition asking people to share their love story, on Facebook, the winners received an engraved Thomas Sabo Love Bridge Bracelet, and every entry received 15% off to spend in-store. This was a great way to get people interacting on the Facebook page.
