What’s included in a blog package?

My blog packages include planning and writing (or editing if you prefer) but more importantly, monitoring. I always benchmark your website for the keywords you want to appear for before, and after, publishing your blogs so that we can see them working. What’s more, these blog packages track up to three of your competitors too, so we can make sure you perform better online than they do. In addition, your blog writing package will include the following:

• Competitor identification

  Initial identification of your three main online competitors (they might not be who you are expecting…)

• Keyword wish list

  What keywords or search terms do you want to rank for? After researching these keywords, I will plan your blogs in a way that will enable me to write around them naturally.

• High quality, SEO targeted blog writing

  Each blog will be original, written with SEO best practice in mind and be in the appropriate tone-of-voice for your brand and your intended audience. Google guidelines state that each page of content should be a minimum of 300 words. All blogs produced will be at least double this length!

  *Alternatively, you may opt to work under the ‘pencil package’ (scroll down) whereby you write your own blogs based on my research and suggestions, and I edit them for SEO purposes and add your Meta information.

• Internal linking

  Blogs are not just beneficial as a standalone piece of content, but can strategically link through to other pages on your site to increase their authority and help them to rank higher too, by encouraging readers to move around your site to other areas of interest – all links will be clearly highlighted on your written blogs.

• Weekly reporting

  Each week you will receive a report showing the positions of the keywords your blog is targeting in addition to up to 100 other keywords that you would like your site to appear for. This is not just to demonstrate the performance of your own site, but details the same results for up to three of your competitors’ sites too.

• Analysis of competitors’ sites

  What are the main keywords they are targeting? Where do they appear for these in relation to where you rank?

• Topic suggestions

  You will receive suggestions for blog topics and a suggested keyword focus. Once approved, these blogs will be scheduled and written, ready for your approval.

• Meta information

  Not all copywriters include this but without it, Google is simply stabbing in the dark to figure out the keywords your blog should appear for. I write targeted, unique meta descriptions and page titles so that Google knows exactly when to show your blog in its searches.

• Image sourcing

  Blogs with images not only perform better, but give you an opportunity to stand out on social media posts. Each blog I write will come with links to two suggested stock images to choose from – bespoke imagery can also be designed on request.

• Monthly analysis (not included in pencil package)

  Monthly performance summary, bespoke insights and suggestions into how to increase your rankings even further.
