Boosting Aqua's online visibility through SEO

We only got to work for Aqua for 9 months, as they ended their contract after achieving very high rankings for big keywords like “porcelain veneers” and “Invisalign costs.”

When we inherited the Aqua website, it was a good example of good SEO but poor content direction and copywriting.

Initial problems

The challenge

  • Poor, outdated copy that was full of spelling errors.
  • Website banners were out of date, and the homepage did not reflect any clickable elements.
  • No elements of wider digital marketing on the site, like offers, graphics or calls to action.
  • Treatment pages were vague and absent of branded, unique photos.
  • The website struggled to rank locally for “dentist in Harrow” and any surrounding areas.
  • No treatment pages like Invisalign, Invisalign Go, Invisalign Full, Porcelain Veneers, Composite Veneers etc. existed.
  • Several technical issues, where there were multiple problems like multiple H1s.
  • The metadata was problematic, or empty.

Our action plan

The solution

  • Begin with local SEO to get the practice visible to users Googling for a dentist near them.
  • Writing the missing treatment page copy to communicate to users the products available, then moving on to rewrite the site’s copy for general treatments.
  • We created deals and offers and used dental financing to entice users to see how affordable cosmetic dentistry can be, which we turned into graphics that are still visible on the website.
  • Solving pages of technical errors from an audit, rewriting and creating metadata, then building links to the newly created pages.
  • Reworking the site’s template to present copy and content to the user in a way that enhances their experience and encourages click-throughs.
  • Linking top treatments from the homepage for patients landing there from Facebook adverts and PPC.
